Common problems
The same problem can have a few different causes. We test before we start replacing gear.
What might cause it
The pipework may be misaligned, unsupported or under constant stress, or the joint preparation may have been poor
How we check
With the system depressurised, we check alignment and support, then pressure test the repaired section rather than relying on a visual inspection alone
What might cause it
A suction-side valve, union, pump connection or buried line can draw air without leaking water out
How we check
We isolate each suction circuit and test it under vacuum or pressure to identify the section losing seal
What might cause it
Restricted pipe diameter, excessive fittings, an incorrect valve or bypass arrangement, or a mismatch between the new equipment and the existing hydraulics
How we check
We measure pump vacuum and filter pressure at operating speeds, then trace the pipe layout to locate the restriction
Our process

We glue it up, let it set, and test it with the pump running.
